Although even today
Atlantikwall objects still disappear, there are a large number of
object free accessible. These objects are not part of a museum, but are usually on
private or public grounds.
Please consider the following rules when visiting
these objects:
- If an object is on farm land, don't destroy the
farmers crop. Farmer have to live from their crops!
- If possible, ask permission, to enter someone's
property
- Leave everything in the objects, so fellow
researchers can see how it once looked.
- Beware of signs, for example indicating you are
entering a military area.
- Not a real threat, but respect the
use of old fortifications as a home for animals like bats. Bats
hibernate between October and March. Do not disturb these animals
during this time period.
